Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will take place at 7.30pm on Monday 19th December 2016 in the Thomond Suite, Thomond Park Stadium.

New Article

In light of reports in various media outlets concerning Data Protection issues with Credit Unions we wish to reassure our members as follows: 

1. Despite the impression given by some of the reports, your personal data held by the Credit Union has not been “stolen” by Private Investigators. 

2. The issue being reported concerns the methods used by some Private Investigators to obtain up-to-date addresses for members who were ignoring repeated attempts to establish contact to discuss arrears on their loans. We have a duty, on behalf of all members, to collect funds which have been lent out and part of the process of doing this is to have up-to-date contact information. In all instances, we were unaware that any methods to establish addresses being used by these investigators were in breach of Data Protection requirements. As soon as we were made aware of this, we ceased to use these Private Investigators. We have co-operated fully with the Data Protection Commission in their investigation into the activities of these Private Investigators and we are totally supportive of their efforts to ensure that Private Investigators operate within the Data Protection requirements 

3. If you have any specific concerns in regard to the use of your data please talk to management or staff.
