How to become a Member

How can you become a member

To become a member you must call into St. Mary’s Parish Credit Union office, complete a membership application with a member of staff and provide the relevant information.

To be eligible to join you must hold the common bond of St. Mary’s Parish Credit Union, which means you must live or work in the area covered by this Credit Union. Any staff member will be able to advise you in this regard.

In order to become a full member you must be over 16, pay a membership fee of €1.27 and lodge at least €5 into shares.

By law we require three pieces of identification to allow us to open a new account:

  1. Photo ID. e.g.: Passport, Drivers Licence
  2. Verification of Address. e.g.: Electricity Bill, Gas Bill or other Utility Bill, Bank Statement. The proof of address cannot be accepted if it is more than 3 months old.
  3. PPS Number or Tax Identification Number

To open a juvenile account (under 16) we require the Birth Certificate and PPS number of the child along with Photo ID, Verification of address and PPS number of the person opening the account.
